The sixth annual Kinglake Ranges Art Show will be held at the Kinglake Community Centre on November 24-25-26 this year. This is the same venue as last year. Opening night is Friday 6.30 pm for 7 pm start - while Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm.  Workshops will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

Prizes and Awards are increased this year to reflect the growth in the quantity and quality of our exhibits. Doors open from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The fibre festival promises to provide fun and frivolity as beanies of all shapes and sizes are donated, displayed and available to purchase throughout the event. 

This year’s theme for the Murrindindi Madness category is Mountain Streams to Ocean Floor, and the return of favorite categories include Funky Fibre Fusion, Traditional Beanie, Anything Goes Beanie, Winter Warmers and Best Teapot Beanie. While the Most Down to Earth Beanie is a sculptural wonder that can be made from anything.  

Saturday 28 July features the Beanie Bazzaar, a market full of clever creations featuring yarn, craft and refreshments, so there is something for everyone.

The Australian National Brooch Show 2018

An initiative of the Contemporary Art Society of Victoria Inc. (CAS) Now in its 11th year, The Australian National Brooch Show - an exhibition of small wearable artworks.This popular exhibition showcases small wearable artworks made by both established and emerging contemporary artists and offers all participating artists the opportunity gain exposure for their art. By having a theme of small wearable artworks, artist's have an opportunity to submit works via Australia Post. Each time this exhibition has grown, representing Artists from across Australia. We have had good sales and support for the exhibition every year. 

The Australian National Brooch Show is run by the Contemporary Art Society of Victoria Inc. The Society is a non-profit organization, run on a voluntary basis by artists for the benefit of artists and those interested in the arts. It is based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and was founded in 1938. This year The Australian National Brooch Show will be on show in Fitzroy, in Melbourne, Victoria (Australia)

Artists are to supply return postage (in Australian Post stamps) for unsold works, as a condition of entry.
